Carson is a darker chestnut horse who apparently used to be a show horse. He has a slow walk and a slow, smooth jog that can speed up when asked. He has a smooth lope. He sets his head low when being ridden, like a typical western pleasure horse. The first person who I knew to ride him in told me he rushes into the lope, but when I rode him he was not willing to lope. I had to constantly kick him while loping to keep him going. He would stick his nose out and flatten his back, so he couldn’t lope.
